The German Agricultural Society (DLG), the organiser of Agritechnica, has announced the winners of the Agritechnica Innovation Awards
The innovation award scheme for the international agricultural machinery industry has announced one gold and 16 silver award winners, chosen from 164 qualifying submissions.
Gold award for improved efficiency and environmental consciousness
The ‘Gold Award’ was bagged by NEXAT GmbH, a german agriculture machinery manufacturer for its NEXAT Systemtraktor. The NEXAT is a multipurpose carrier vehicle that can be used for tillage, sowing, crop protection and harvesting.
The Agritechnica Innovation Gold Award is conferred on an innovation demonstrating a new concept in which the functionality has changed decisively and gives rise to a new process or marks a substantial improvement to an existing process.
Key criteria for the award included practical significance at the farm level, operating profitability, efficiency benefits, energy consumption improvements and work load reduction with improved health and safety features.
Silver award
The Agritechnica Innovation Silver Award is conferred on innovation for an existing product such that a significant improvement in functionality and process is achieved. Key criteria include for judging included relevance at farm level, work load reduction, enhanced work quality and improved reliability.
