IFTEX Kenya 2016 celebrates its 5th anniversary

Kenyan based International Flower Trade show IFTEX is going to take place for the 5th time between 8-10 June 2016 in Nairobi, Kenya

IFTEX will see more than 200 exhibiting flower related companies this year, according to event organisers.

Exhibit space has doubled since the first edition back in 2012 and will rise again this year with 20 per cent compared to last year. The number of exhibiting companies is currently 173 and it is expected to reach 200 by June.

This year’s expo will see various activities alongside it as it is the 5th anniversary of IFTEX and it coincides with the 20th year anniversary of the Kenyan Flower council KFC.

Event organisers have launched a huge international campaign to bring in new flower buyers to attend the event in June.

“As part of our visitor promotion efforts we are trying to get a delegation of US flower buyers to visit Kenya in June, so we continue promoting African flowers into the US market,” said Dick van Raamsdonk in Los Angeles last week during World Floral Expo.
