Zimbabwe's farming award winner receives Case IH tractor

Case IH dealer southern region trading handed over the first prize, a JX75T tractor it donated, to the winner of the Farmer of the Year 2015 Award Maengeni Bingandade

Case IH and its dealer Southern Region Trading Co. (SRTC) took part in this year’s edition of the Farmer of the Year Award and awarded the prize to a small-holder farmer from Mutare.

The farm was shortlisted by for the quality of its produce presented at the exhibition and how it was showcased. The farm’s well-managed homestead and fields, diversified through horticulture, crops and livestock, earned the first prize.

“By sponsoring an award like Farmer of the Year we aim to raise awareness of the possibilities that mechanisation offers to increase a farm’s productivity and efficiency, benefiting its bottom line,” explained Jason Smith of Southern Region Trading Company.

“The JX75T is perfect for a small farmer like Bingandade, who needs a totally reliable tractor that delivers a high performance in a variety of applications, from soil preparation and operating implements to pulling trailers and transport.”
