Japan to boost Gambia’s food security

On 5 October, the Embassy of Japan in the Gambia issued a statement announcing that Japan and Gambia had signed an exchange of notes within the framework of the Japan Food Assistance Programme

The agreement was signed by Momodou TANGARA, minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Gambians Abroad, and Tatsuo ARAI, Ambassador of Japan to the Gambia.

The Japanese government is expected to boost Gambia’s food security by providing people with rice to meet their nutritional needs.
