AFWE to be held in Johannesburg

The annual African Farmers Workshop and Expo (AFWE) has expanded its local farming sector exhibition in Gauteng, adding three-day shows taking place in KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo and the North West Province

The next Johannesburg event will take place from the 12-14 August at the Johannesburg Expo Centre, organisers of the expo said.

“The show aims to empower emerging and subsistence farmers across South Africa, and boost the national farming sector generally,” CEO of Moshate Media stated.

“Exhibitors from the broad farming trade understand the importance of educating their markets about the complexities of running a small agricultural or livestock enterprise,” Masimini added.

“The shows provide an invaluable opportunity for them to connect with farmers and engage with other knowledge leaders in the industry.”

According to AFWE, there has been a rising interest in the African Farmers Workshop and Expo since the inaugural show, which led to the expansion of the event into the other provinces.

AFWE aims to stage the expo in all provinces of South Africa, closing the event at the expo planned in Johannesburg, it said.
