Case IH has been named as the official sponsor of the second Africa Sugar Outlook Conference, which will take place from March 14th-16th in Kenya
Held in Nairobi, the three-day event will be attended by heads of international sugar industry bodies and professionals from Africa, Europe, Brazil, India and the Middle East.
The conference will explore opportunities for developing Africa’s sugar market, discuss trade and financing policy, examine how sugar production efficiency can be improved and review best practices in sugar based ethanol and co-generation projects.
A representative from cane harvesting specialists Case IH will also speak at event on the theme of mechanisation in sugar cane production.
During its presentation, Case IH will look at the impact of machinery on productivity, cultivation methods that optimise moisture retention in soil, factors to consider when deciding whether to choose large or small tractors in sugar operations and the technology level most suitable for African conditions.
