Under the overall theme of Agritechnica 2022, which will be held in Germany from 27 February to 5 March 2022, the digital information and preparation programme for the trade fair ‘Agritechnica digital’ will launch on 15 November
The digitalisation in agriculture is the topic chosen for the online expert talk that will kick off the new ‘Agritechnica digital’ online programme. Taking place on the new DLG-Connect platform from 15 November 2021 to March 2022, Agritechnica digital is the ideal complement to the trade fair in Hanover as it offers exhibitors and visitors an additional business platform that is designed to combine the live experience of the trade fair with innovative digital information and networking. The world's leading trade fair for agricultural machinery will take place in Hanover, Germany, from 27 February to 5 March.
Increasingly, digital applications are penetrating into all areas of agriculture. For some, these applications offer solutions to many current problems while for others the benefits to their business still need to be proven.
Spotlight on digitalisation and smart farming
The topic of digitalisation, robotics and smart farming are at the centre of the technical programme of the Agritechnica exhibition, which will be held at the largest exhibition grounds in the world located in Hanover. In the expert talk at the launch of Agritechnica digital on 15 November, 13:00 - 14:00 (Central European Time), Thomas Böck, CEO of Claas Group, Germany, Dr. Sjaak Wolfert, strategic senior scientist Wageningen economic research, Wageningen University & Research, Netherlands, and René Jørgensen, CEO of FarmDroid, Denmark, among others, will discuss the current challenges and prospects and explore how digitalisation is an important prerequisite for ‘green efficiency’ in modern agriculture. The event is held in English.
From mid-November, exhibitors and visitors alike will be able to use the services offered by Agritechnica digital to make contacts and optimally prepare for their visit to Agritechnica 2022 in Hanover. “This benefits not only visitors but also exhibitors, who can network with their priority customers in the run-up to the trade fair through their digital company profiles, events and press conferences,” said Freya von Czettritz, Agritechnica project manager, describing the advantages of the additional digital offering.
“From November, the Agritechnica exhibitors, many of whom will be presenting their innovations in live events, can be found in the DLG-Connect ‘industry index’ along with their company profile and they’ll be able to present innovations in live events and expand their customer network,” explained von Czettritz.
Comprehensive networking opportunities on current topics and special interest offers via audio, video or chat communication, discussions forums in the Virtual Cafés as well as features such as a personal appointment calendar round off the digital services for visitors.
