The international trade fair for the fruit and vegetable Macfrut 2022 will be held from 4-6 May 2022 at theRimini Expo Centre, Italy representing the entire fruit and vegetable supply chainwith eight sectors
The international trade fair for the fruit and vegetable sector is organised by Cesena Fiera. The 39th edition will feature many innovations, which will be revealed to the press and industry professionals live during Expo Dubai on 10 December, with the participation of Macfrut’s partners and organisers.
For the Fruit & Veg Professional show, registered exhibitors will have their own virtual profile on Macfrut Digital, which will provide online visibility during the trade fair. Through their profile, exhibitors will be able to access an exclusive business matching programme and schedule B2B meetings with buyers participating in the trade fare and the exhibiting companies.
Fruit and vegetables are of strategic importance to the agri-food sector of the Emilia-Romagna region. It is one of Italy’s most productive regions, known for its many excellences, including 44 protected designation of origin (PDO) and protected geographical indication (PGI) products. At the trade fair, companies from Emilia-Romagna and their products will be showcased in an exhibition area and through dedicated events and initiatives.
It is a vertical trade fair representing the entire fruit and vegetable supply chain with eight sectors: production and trade, machinery and plants, materials and packaging, cultivation machinery, greenhouses and irrigation, plant nurseries and seeds, biosolutions, logistics and services.
A promotional campaign is now underway to attract exhibitors and confirm exhibition spaces. One of the novelties announced is that cherries will be the symbolic product of the 2022 edition, which will make Macfrut the world capital of cherries as it will be hosting the International Cherry Symposium, featuring leading international experts.
