The International Flower Trade Expo (IFTEX) to be held in Nairobi, Kenya, is expected to attract growers from continents outside Africa to showcase their flowers, according to show organizer and HPP president Dick Van Raamsdonk
Exhibitors expected to attend, include those from Ethiopia, Uganda, South Africa, Tanzania as well as outside the continent from countries including Ecuador and Colombia.
IFTEX 2014, organised by HPP Exhibitions, will take place at the Visa Shree Oshwal Center in Nairobi from 4-6 June 2014.
The show has attracted international buyers who are travelling to Nairobi to see flowers from across the world, Raamsdonk said.
According to event organisers, two months before the show is set to take place, additional space has been created to welcome the increasing number of exhibitors.
IFTEX is competing with other exhibitions, including Florecuador-Agriflor (Quito, Ecuador), Proglora (Bogota, Colombia), Hortiflora Expo (Addis Ababa, Ethiopia), and the International Floriculture Trade Fair (Vijfhuizen, Holland), event organisers stated.
