The Pan-African Poultry Congress (PPC) will be held at the University of Lomé, Togo from 13-17 May 2019
The PPC's conference, co-organised by the Regional Centre of Excellence on Poultry Sciences (CERSA) and World Poultry Science Association (WPSA), Togo branch, will address the challenges facing the poultry industry in Africa.
Located on the Gulf of Benin, between Benin and Ghana, Togo is one of West Africa’s smallest countries with an area of 56,785 sq km and an estimated population of about 7.9mn inhabitants in 2018.
Togo’s economy is based primarily on agriculture and livestock, including poultry.
Several poultry experts, researchers, and scientists from different parts of the world are expected to attend the conference.
The five main themes that will be addressed during the conference include:
–Environment and poultry Production Systems;
–Nutrition, Feedstuffs and Metabolism;
–Reproduction and incubation;
–Product Quality, Processing and Safety;
–Economics of production.
