The American Feed Industry Association (AFIA), in collaboration with Feedstuffs, has named ADM’s animal nutrition feed facility in Bluffton, as its 2023 Premix/Ingredient Feed Facility of the Year

The award was presented to plant manager, Brent Weedman during AFIA’s Purchasing and Ingredient Suppliers Conference that took place in San Antonio.

In response to fluctuating markets, the Bluffton facility has made a strategic shift to manufacturing premixes.

ADM North America director of Animal Nutrition, Junior Rogers expressed pride in their Bluffton Team. “We have introduced DRR in all of our facilities and Bluffton continues to drive continuous improvement,” he stated. “The DRRs are designed to keep visibility and balance in our metrics. The general menu structure of the system is in line with the LEMKEN standard and facilitates intuitive operation. (Image source: LEMKEN)

In an attempt to prove an inexpensive, convenient and clear solution for users, LEMKEN has, for the first time, successfully integrated the complete control of a hoeing machine, including the camera image and width sections into an ISOBUS system so that all controls are displayed on one CCI 800 or 1200 terminal

The position of the implement as well as the speed of the tractor are recorded by the ISOBUS system. Moreover, operation is possible either through the tractor's own joystick or the CCI joystick.

Enriched with camera information, the video image can be transmitted by the system using a standard ISO 17215 interface through Ethernet. In addition, the system is also ready for high-speed ISOBUS.

Automatic over-the-air machine updates ensure that their machines are always up to date. Service technicians are also able to optimise settings remotely, during maintenance and troubleshooting. These updated settings can also be reviewed, since they are displayed in the camera image immediately after optimisation.
