Nigeria hosts Agra Innovate

Agra Innovate Nigeria 2014 will welcome international agricultural policymakers, agribusiness leaders, farmers, technologists and investors in Lagos, Nigeria at the Landmark Centre, Victoria Island on the 18-20 November 2014

Agra Innovate has been co-organised by Nigerian based event organiser Afrocet and global exhibition and training provider Informa, set-up with the backing of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the influential Nigeria Agribusiness Group.

The conference will discuss hotly debated issues in Nigeria's agricultural sector among key state governors and experts from Olam, Presco, the World Bank, Okomu, UNIDO, FAO, event organisers revealed.

“The profound reconstruction and modernisation of Nigerian agriculture that’s being led by President Goodluck Jonathan and the minister of agriculture Dr Akinwumi A Adesina has rightly gathered respect throughout Africa and the wider world,” stated David Ross, project director of Informa.

“Many international agribusiness organisations are now establishing or expanding their operations in Nigeria and partnering with Nigerian businesses to help accelerate innovation and collaborate in this unfolding success story,” added Ross.

The three-day event will see the first two days of “Agra Innovate” feature a conference with more than 40 speakers across key companies who are encouraging transformation in the market.
