Tanzania’s bean exports feed 10 countries 

Tanzania exports over a million metric tonne of beans to ten countries in Africa including Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, South Africa and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), as well as India, making it the sole producer of the important legume to millions of people on the continent. Key players in the movie industry in Nigeria and India are meeting at the 2017 Annual Meetings of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group in Ahmedabad, India, to agree on a line of action towards changing perceptions on agriculture. Click here to read the full story.  

UN expert: Zambia’s farmers at risk of becoming squatters on their own land
